Dr Andrea Doyle, PhD, is an accomplished researcher, scientist, and educator specialising in simulation-based healthcare training. Her pioneering work includes developing anthropomorphic ultrasound phantoms and innovative tissue-mimicking materials for ultrasound education and device evaluation, as well as leading high-quality scholarly reviews and advancing best practices in simulation research and curriculum design. As a lecturer at the RCSI SIM Centre for Education and Research, Dr Doyle designs and delivers simulation-based modules, mentors health professionals in simulation research and scholarly inquiry, and champions inclusive simulation approaches. She is an active member of the international simulation community, having served on the Best Evidence Medical Education (BEME) board, currently sitting on the research committee of the Association of SP Educators (ASPE), and co-chairing the Simulated Participant (SP) Community of Practice (CoP) within the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM).
The Journal of Healthcare Simulation - Advances in Theory & Practice (IJoHS) is a single-blind peer-reviewed open access journal.
The journal is a member of Crossref and is actively exploring opportunities for inclusion in the leading scientific indexes. Each article is given a unique digital object identifier (DOI), these are shared with the scientific community through channels including Crossref and Google Scholar.
